Instructions for use of plastic barrel breathable cover

- Aug 04, 2020-

Domestic membrane breathable cover: suitable for domestically sold non-dangerous products, which require high leakage resistance, but have general requirements for breathability and ventilation stability; imported membrane breathable cover: suitable for dangerous goods or products sold for export , Breathability is about 50% better than domestic membrane breathable cover, which has higher requirements for breathability stability and anti-leakage. (The cost of imported membrane vent caps is more than three times the cost of domestic membrane vent caps.) To ensure that the vent cap meets the requirements of the demand side (leakage resistance, ventilation, chemical resistance, etc.), the demand side must carry out before mass use The adaptability test of the breathable cover, the main project methods are as follows:

A. Leakage

Screw the vent cap on the barrel filled with liquid, with the mouth of the barrel facing down and lying on the ground. After 4 hours, observe whether there is liquid flowing out of the vent hole. (If there is a slight leak, please decide whether it is acceptable) B. The chemical manufacturer provides the breathable film to the buyer. The buyer fully soaks the breathable membrane in the liquid and takes it out after 24 hours to observe whether the breathable membrane is corroded or dissolved. (If there is corrosion or dissolution, the breathable membrane cannot be used).

C. Breathability

After the plastic drum is filled with liquid, twist the breathable cover and lie on the side for 1 minute. After the breathable membrane is soaked in the liquid, store the plastic drum upright for 3-7 days or more. The specific test time must be determined by the party. The temperature The temperature in the actual use state should be simulated (the barrel is filled with liquid and placed in the oven) For example, the storage and transportation temperature of the ocean container ton barrel is generally 40-50 ℃, after the expected time, observe whether the barrel bulges, if there is a slight bulging, need to It is up to the party to decide whether to use it; if it swells out severely, it is determined that the vent cover is not suitable.

Precautions for use:

A. Before the first batch use, the purchaser must pass the above three adaptability tests to determine whether the breathable cover is suitable!

B. When the formula of the demand-side product changes, the storage and transportation environment temperature and the transportation method change, the leakage, chemical resistance, and breathability tests should be re-tested to confirm again whether the breathable cover can meet the requirements.

C. Caution for screw capping: After you feel the contact between the barrel mouth and the flat surface of the barrel lid, turn it with a wrench 90 degrees (that is, 2 corners of the barrel lid) to ensure that the barrel mouth is sealed. The screw cap should not be too loose or too tight, otherwise it will damage the tightness.

D. After filling the liquid on the demand side, screw up the lid according to the requirements of item C, and lay the bucket mouth down for 5 minutes, and then check the bucket lid and the bucket mouth for leaks. Once a leak is found, replace the cover immediately, and then perform a leak test. If the leak still indicates a problem with the barrel, the barrel needs to be replaced. Note that all barrels must undergo this test and be qualified before they can be packaged and shipped.

E. After each batch of product is filled, it is recommended to leave it at room temperature for 72 hours before shipping, and observe whether the barrel is swollen. Once the bulging barrel is found, replace the cover immediately; if the bulging ratio of the barrel is too high, it means that this breathable cover is not suitable, and another solution should be found.
